Mr. Wang Benqiang, Deputy Auditor General of the National Audit Office of China (CNAO), visited the United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON) and the Cour des Comptes of Algeria from November 9 to 15, 2025.
On behalf of Mr. Hou Kai—Member of the United Nations Board of Auditors (UNBOA) and Auditor General of the CNAO—Mr. Wang met with Ms. Zainab Bangura, Director-General of UNON, Ms. Elizabeth Mrema, Deputy Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), and Mr. Erfan Ali, Chief of Staff of UN-Habitat. They discussed on the CNAO’s five years of audit work during its UNBOA term, and advancing the implementation of audit recommendations.
During the delegation’s stay in Algeria, Mr. Wang held talks with Mr. Mohamed Fouad Nacir, President of the Cour des Comptes of Algeria. The two sides engaged in exchanges on the audit management systems of both countries, budget execution audits, state-owned enterprise audits, and the further enhancement of cooperation between the two supreme audit institutions.
